Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – It’s been 200 days since the beginning of the blockade of Sheikh Isa Qassim, the Bahraini Shia cleric. All along, the Bahraini Shias have supported the cleric by surrounding his house in Diraz and protecting him from Al Khalifah mercenaries’ insults.
Hujjat al-Islam Ali Kerbabadi, a Bahraini cleric and social activist, had an exclusive interview with Hawzah News to describe the latest developments in Bahrain regarding the sit-in of Shia citizens outside Sheikh Isa Qassim’s house in the city of Diraz. Kerbabadi also elaborated on the ongoing conspiracies of Al Khalifah rulers which are supported by their Western and Arabic allies.
Speaking on the conditions of the Diraz sit-in outside Sheikh Isa’s residence, Kerbabadi said, “Thousands of Bahraini citizens have gathered around Sheikh Isa’s house and they’ve been besieged by regime forces for more than six months now; Al Khalifah forces have barricaded them all. The protestors have been facing with many difficulties; the employees are not allowed to go to work, supply of food and other goods have been extremely difficult to provide, the people of Diraz have also dealt with terrible health conditions without access to medical care. The students also are faced with restrictions while communing to school.
“Residents of Diraz are faced with so much difficulty in providing other ordinary services due to the regime forces’ heavy blockade in the entire neighborhood; no entry is allowed to Diraz and neighboring areas.” The Bahraini cleric added.
